3 Day Course trained on your water!
24 hours of Personal Watercraft training to develop skills and abilities to safely and effectively operate the AlumaPro in both flat and moving water conditions. Perform close quarters maneuvering, a challenging buoy course, boat contacts, patrol tactics and rescue operations. Training consists of small amount of classroom time and large amount of on the water training. This course is challenging and students should be in good physical condition.
Course Outline Sample
DAY ONE CLASSROOM – 4 HOURS
- Basic Operating methods and procedures
- Boat Orientation
- Boat Pre & Post Op Inspections
- Proper Equipment; PPE, AlumaPro, & Patrol Gear
DAY ONE ON-WATER – 4 HOURS
- Inspect Boat and ensure proper equipment set up prior to launch
- Safe Operating demonstrations; safe boarding, proper riding positions, etc.
- One Man practice (basic familiarization for students including docking, boat slip drills, etc.)
- Balance Drills
DAY TWO BUOY COURSE – 4 HOURS
- Includes safety brief, warm up, Launch Boat(s)
- Buoy Course (One Man , Two Man, etc)
DAY TWO PATROL OPS – 4 HOURS
- Balance Drills: moving water (Ball drills)
- Evasive Maneuver Drills
- Boat Contact Drills (Anchored & moving vessels)
- Underway transfer
DAY THREE RESCUE OPERATIONS – 4 HOURS
- Self-Rescue/boat swim
- Rescue Drill w/out Sled
- Rescue Drills w/Sled
DAY THREE DYNAMIC WATER – 4 HOURS
- Dynamic Water Swim
- Conduct white water swim through wave train
- Demonstrate proper body positioning and control (non-panic) in high
- One Man Drills (Includes Ferrying)
- Two Man Drills
- Rescue Drills; Includes Conducting conscious victim pick-up while maintaining control of boat in dynamic water
END OF EACH DAY– 30 Min-1 Hour
- Recover boats, conduct post op checks, and flush
